My own experience to Morro de São Paulo was a adventure full of surprises. Unplanned but very eye opening and rewarding. I was on my way to Itacare, a town that everybody told me to visit. Fishermans town, surfers paradise in the lands of Bahia was a must and it was on my way from Pipa in the North to Rio de Janeiro where I had to catch my flight. Despite the arduous journey, right when I was in Salvador, I decided to make a pit stop in Morro de São Paulo to catch a glimpse of this special island and expand my understanding of Brazil’s diverse landscapes. As I arrived, I was captivated by the beauty of the place. I felt like in the movie and everything felt so magical. And of course magic happened. I met this guy, that inspired me to write my first article about the place and his story.
